This is the record of the service of the 1/5th Battalion The Welch Regiment with the 53rd Welsh Division during the North-West Europe campaign from D-Day, 6 June 1944 to VE Day 8/9 May 1945. In the summer of 1946, the battalion - its war service completed - was disbanded in Duisberg, Germany by the Adjutant - Captain Eric Spencer MC - the last member of the battalion and the founder, with his wife of the Spencer Chartiable Trust. It is this trust that made this re-print possible. Softback, 70 pages.
